Horace makes ‘hot’ fried chicken. It may not be hot enough for some, but for those used to bland chicken, it’s HOT. You can always order the S&P wings if you don’t like hot.

Let's talk delivery and pick up: order online and pick up our great hot chicken inside of Mimosa Grill, our sister concept that has been a staple in Uptown Charlotte for more than 20 years. If you want it delivered, we work with ChowNow and DoorDash to deliver Horace’s Hot Fried Chicken. ChowNow delivery, which is linked to the ‘Order Now’ button on our website, currently delivers within a few miles of Uptown. You can also find us directly on your DoorDash App and their delivery area is a bit larger.

The chicken at HHC is gluten free, but we are not a gluten free kitchen -always specify if you have a certain allergy when placing your order. Though we will never ever tell you Horace’s recipe, we can tell you that Horace’s Hot Chicken takes about 3 days to get ready for Horace to take your order. During that time, we are marinating and dredging our fresh chicken before we cook it for you. It is NOT your mother’s fried or hot fried chicken. Horace’s Hot and S&P Wings are done the same painstakingly way. Horace’s wings are not hot Buffalo wings. They are hand breaded in our gluten free flours like our chicken.
